I've been drawing since I was pretty young, but never drawing seriously before a few years ago. In the early '90s, I started working with CorelDRAW and subsequently lost all ability to manipulate a pencil, so everything I do these days is digital, mostly vector art. Yes, I have a thing for weird mutants like centaurs and nagas, but there are worse interests I could have. I'm friendly and I don't bite, so if you want to know more about me, feel free to IM me.
G'bye, SheezyArt, I hardly knew yeposted Jul 31st 2007, 1:56PM
Mood: Sorry
I think I'm gonna spend less time on SheezyArt, and the majority of my future works will not be posted here. It's a decent enough site, albeit a little quirky at times, but there are good reasons it's just not worth hanging around here anymore:
* The comments. When I do get them, they're either from emo teenagers with an axe to grind, or they're just short, like "lol that rockz". There's nothing constructive about any comment I've received in the last year.
* The search. SA can't decide whether its search engine is going to be up or down, and I don't feel like waiting anymore. AIDS awareness? Indexing? All well and good, but if you're gonna keep your search engine down because it's buggy or because of its server load, just admit it already and quit stringing people along.
* The silence. After posting pictures here, it's normal to get two favs and one comment and nothing else. Whole months can go by where nothing happens, and on my deviantART and FurAffinity accounts, I see new messages every day.
* The extra effort. Right now, when I post artwork, it goes into four separate galleries. That's too many: It can take upwards of an hour to post a single image, and for the reasons above, Sheezy is losing out.
In short, it's just not worth being here right now. I'll still check in (rarely) from time to time, but if you want to see my artwork or contact me, use one of my other galleries or my e-mail to do it. Not that anybody here really would want to :/
